PROGRAMS

👶 Infant Program

6 Weeks – 18 Months

Our littlest learners deserve care that feels personal, responsive, and full of opportunities to discover their world. In our infant room, we follow each baby's individual feeding, sleeping, and developmental routines while providing plenty of cuddles, floor play, sensory exploration, music, movement, and one-on-one interaction.

As babies grow, our teachers intentionally support emerging skills like tummy time, reaching, sitting, crawling, early communication, and those exciting first steps—always at each child's own pace.

We also put extra care into what goes into little bellies. Fresh fruit and vegetable purées are prepared right here at Growing Roots, giving families confidence in the foods we're serving their babies.

Through Brightwheel, families stay connected with updates, photos, bottles, meals, diaper changes, naps, and special moments throughout the day.

What We Focus On:

  • Individualized feeding and sleeping schedules

  • Safe sleep practices

  • Warm, responsive relationships with caregivers

  • Sensory exploration, music, and interactive play

  • Early language and communication

  • Tummy time and movement

  • Fresh, center-prepared purées for babies ready for solids

  • Daily communication and updates through Brightwheel

Because babies don't follow a one-size-fits-all schedule—and we don't expect them to. 🌱

🧸 Toddler Program

18 Months – 3 Years

Toddlers are full of curiosity, big feelings, and a growing desire to do things themselves. At Growing Roots, we give them opportunities to explore, make choices, and practice new skills with familiar adults close by to encourage and comfort them.

Our days include sensory play, stories, songs, building, pretend play, art, and outdoor discovery. These experiences help toddlers build language, coordination, problem-solving skills, and confidence while having fun.

We also help children navigate the everyday moments that can feel big at this age—waiting for a turn, expressing a need, playing alongside a friend, or managing frustration. Our teachers model simple words, offer reassurance, and guide children as they begin learning how to connect with others.

As toddlers become more independent, we work with families on routines such as handwashing, eating, cleaning up, and toilet learning when each child is ready. Through Brightwheel, families stay connected with care updates, photos, and little accomplishments worth celebrating.

What We Focus On:

  • Language development and early communication

  • Sensory exploration and hands-on play

  • Recognizing feelings and learning ways to express them

  • Friendships, turn-taking, and play alongside peers

  • Fine-motor skills, movement, and outdoor exploration

  • Early literacy and math through everyday play

  • Self-help skills and toilet learning in partnership with families

  • Daily communication and updates through Brightwheel

Big feelings, little discoveries, and growing independence—we're here for all of it. 🌱

🎨 Preschool Program

3–5 Years

Preschoolers have big ideas, endless questions, and so much they want to try. At Growing Roots, we build on that curiosity through hands-on experiences that encourage children to explore, create, solve problems, and learn together.

Our days include stories, name recognition, early writing, counting, building, sensory play, art, science discoveries, music, and outdoor adventures. Learning comes to life as children make a sign for their pretend store, compare their block towers, or explore what happens to a pinecone in water.

We help children build a foundation for their transition to Pre-K. Along with early literacy and math, we practice joining group activities, following simple directions, asking for help, caring for belongings, and becoming comfortable with classroom routines.

Making friends, expressing feelings, taking turns, and trying something new are just as important. Our teachers guide children through these everyday experiences with encouragement and support based on each child's strengths and needs.

Through Brightwheel, families receive photos, updates, and glimpses of the discoveries and accomplishments that make each day meaningful.

What We Focus On:

  • Early literacy, name recognition, and writing exploration

  • Counting, patterns, shapes, and problem-solving

  • Science, sensory play, and hands-on discovery

  • Fine-motor development through art, building, and play

  • Friendships, turn-taking, and expressing feelings

  • Following simple directions and participating in group activities

  • Independence, classroom routines, and self-help skills

  • Music, movement, and outdoor exploration

  • Preparing for Pre-K at each child's pace

  • Daily communication and updates through Brightwheel

Building confidence, curiosity, and a foundation for Pre-K. 🌱

🚀 School-Age Program

Before & After School • School Breaks • Summer Care

School-age children need a place where they can reconnect with friends, unwind, and enjoy being kids. At Growing Roots, we provide a familiar, welcoming space before and after school, with more time for play and discovery during school breaks and summer.

Our mornings give children time to settle in before heading to school. In the afternoons, children can share about their day, enjoy activities with friends, and choose from creative projects, building, games, reading, and active play.

We balance planned activities with choices that reflect children's interests. Whether they're working together on a construction challenge, creating artwork, or playing outside, children have opportunities to practice teamwork, solve problems, and take pride in their ideas.

Our teachers support growing independence while remaining available to help children navigate friendships, express feelings, and work through challenges. Through Brightwheel, families stay connected with messages, photos, and program updates.

What We Focus On:

  • A welcoming routine before and after school

  • Friendships, teamwork, and belonging

  • Art, building, STEM exploration, and creative projects

  • Outdoor play and movement

  • Opportunities to relax, read, and choose activities

  • Independence, responsibility, and problem-solving

  • Engaging experiences during school breaks and summer

  • Communication and updates through Brightwheel

A place to unwind, belong, and keep growing beyond the school day. 🌱

Learning Through Play

At Growing Roots, play is full of opportunities to learn. When children scoop and pour at the sensory table, build a tower, pretend to cook dinner, or explore outside, they're practicing skills that help them understand their world.

Our teachers build on these moments with questions, new materials, and gentle guidance. A block tower becomes a chance to compare heights and solve problems. Pretend play encourages conversation and cooperation. Working with play dough strengthens little hands for writing.

We plan experiences around children's interests, strengths, and developmental needs, giving them time to explore, repeat, and make discoveries at their own pace. Along the way, they build language, early math skills, coordination, friendships, and confidence in their own ideas.

Little hands at play. Little minds making discoveries. 🌱
